Spring Season

Spring is our main season, with over 160 girls participating this year. From practices and games, to special events and All-Star opportunities, our Spring Season is always a fun time. Whether your player is brand new or has years of experience, our Spring season is designed to help every athlete learn, grow, and enjoy the game.

  • Registration starts in November and ends in early January
  • Opening Day is in February, and the season ends in late April or early May
  • Games are on Saturdays, with some weekday games after daylight savings time
  • Includes divisions 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U, meaning girls should be between the ages of 5 and 14 on September 1st of the previous year. (6U is a "T-ball"-type division.)

What to Expect

Our Spring season focuses on a balance of skill development, teamwork, and game play in a positive and supportive environment.

Players can expect:

  • Weekly practices focused on fundamentals and game situations
  • Regularly scheduled games against local teams
  • Instruction from experienced volunteer coaches
  • Opportunities to build confidence, friendships, and a love for the game

We strive to create a fun, structured experience where players are encouraged to develop at their own pace while being part of a team.

Select & All-Star Opportunities

AGSA offers additional opportunities for players who are looking for a more advanced and competitive softball experience beyond the recreational season.

Select Season

Our Select teams are designed for players who want to further develop their skills in a more competitive environment during the Spring season.

  • Runs alongside the recreational season (January through April 1st)
  • Focus on advanced skill development and game strategy
  • Increased practice intensity and expectations
  • May include participation in local tournaments
  • Ideal for players looking to challenge themselves and accelerate their growth

Select participation requires an additional time commitment and is intended for players ready for a higher level of play.

All-Star Season

At the conclusion of the Spring recreational season, AGSA forms All-Star teams made up of selected players from each division.

  • Begins after the regular season ends
  • Includes tournament play and competitive team selection
  • Opportunities to compete in District, State, and potentially Regional Championships
  • Higher level of competition with increased practice and travel expectations

All-Star participation is a significant commitment for both players and families, but it offers a rewarding and memorable competitive experience.
